Thanksgiving Day is fast approaching on November 28th- and we have so much to be grateful for here in Tenerife! The 25th is our fifth year of traveling, and the 28th is our 10 year wedding anniversary and 15th year of our relationship! To many that may seem like a short time, to others a grand accomplishment, but to me it's just right.
We've been traveling the world for almost five years now without any traditional barriers, like being tied down by a 9 to 5 job or having to live in one location. We're rich in experiences- we are able to live our passions of surfing, snowboarding, traveling and experiencing the world while running our mobile, online business. Hanalei has started horseback riding lessons with her Italian friend Lorenzo, so our Thanksgiving will be an interesting one because our new best friends here in the Canary Islands are Italian. They speak English and Italian but Lorenzo only speaks Italian and Spanish, so he and Hanalei play the 'como se dice' game, asking what the words are in each other's languages for items they point at.
We've created a whole new culture here and we'll be able to share our Thanksgiving Holiday with our new friends who have never celebrated the holiday before.
