San Sebastian, Spain has been quit the experience so far.
We have been here for 6 days, bathing in the beautiful culture of people, food and scenery. Knowing a bit of spanish we thought the communication and the understanding of the culture would be a breeze...Boy were we wrong!
While everybody speaks Spanish, 37,5% of the population speak Euskera (Basque language) as well. Basque is an extremely old language and one that is not only not Latin but not even Indo-European!
Our first experience walking into a "Tapa's" Bar was quit interesting to say the least we had no idea how to get our hands on the delectable goodies that were screaming at us to take....
Do we just grab and eat? Do we pay for a plate?
